Some Organizational Hacks for Those Who Need them

Cannot shake off the feeling that you could have done more at work? You are not alone; many people feel like they have been inefficient when they look back at their day. The fact is that many people indeed are not as efficient as they can be at work.

If you are anything like that, do not worry, it does not have to be that way. Everyone knows a tip or two that they can incorporate into their work-life to be more efficient, and the more you have up your sleeve, the better. Here are a few tips you can use to improve your performance at work:

Get Organized
The first step to being more efficient is to be disciplined. It may seem like a very obvious thing to say, but knowing where your stuff is will save you a lot of time. Get a desktop organizer and make a list of all the tasks you have to accomplish.

Hardest Task First
The task that seems the most challenging is all the more difficult when done in exhaustion. Take on the most demanding task first, and make your way on to the easier ones. Get a bunch of sticky notes that will remind you of the priority of tasks. Taking off the notes one by one will be motivation in themselves.

The Promodoro Technique
This might be a new one for you! But it is phenomenal once you get to know about it. The Promodoro technique dictates to do work in timed sprints with very tiny breaks in the middle. There are several Promodoro apps, such as PromoDone, to help you with this. If you need to work with a lot of concentration for an extended time, this technique will be a good friend.

Take Care of Yourself
You just cannot work at peak efficiency if you are exhausted. You may even be ill and trying to get your work done. Not only will it destroy your efficiency, but the quality of work will not be as good. Take proper rest and indulge in self-care. It will go way beyond just your work-life. this is the biggest and most effective hack of them all

Remember, you are not a machine, and regardless of how much work you have to do, you need to take regular breaks as well! If you work in a fair workplace, your superiors will understand that you need a break once in a while. If you have any more hacks that you know, tell us in the comments below.
